In classroom units operated at Clermont County Educational Service Center CEC North or CEC South buildings classrooms units are equipped with an Epson Interactive Whiteboard for use in the classroom.  The below article describes that operation and necessary settings that need to be enabled to make the board functional.


Pre-Requsities:

  1. Teacher Laptop (Dell E7480)
  2. Teacher Laptop Dock (Dell WD15 or MOKin 14 IN1 USB HUB)
  3. Windows 10 with Epson Interactive Tools installed
  4. Working Epson Projector Remote control
  5. Epson Pens with - Working Batteries


** All connectors to the Laptop dock need to be connected to wall plate to the dock.  The minimum connections are as follows:


SVGA or HDMI connection, Epson USB connection, Mini audio connection (not needed if using HDMI)



Windows 10 Settings - Extended Display Mode Required as of 9-8-2021

  1.  Right Click on Windows Desktop & select "Display Settings"
  2. Scroll Down to find the "Multiple Displays" drop down menu option and set the option to "Extend Desktop to this display".
  3. Scroll back to the top of the screen and click on the "Identify button". ** Note which screen appears as #1 or #2.  Then drag the screens in the proper order as represented in real life in your classroom.
  4. Next click on the screen number that reprsents your Epson Whiteboard Screen to highlight it.
  5. Scroll down "Display Resolution" to "1280x800" also select the checkbox "Make this my main display".


Calibrate the Screen for use of the Interactive Pens


  1. On the Epson Remote Control press the "User" button.
  2. Follow the on screen prompts to calibrate the screen.


Troubleshooting:

  • Pens are not aligned and won't touch options on screen or won't touch objects:
    • Check screen resolution in Windows for the Epson Interactive Board and verify screen resolution is set to "1280x800"
    • Verify no objects are in the field of view of the screen during or after calibration. Such as Baord decorations and or items stuck to your board.
    • Verify Pen Batteries are in working condition
    • Ensure that the Epson Interactive Toolbar is not closed and appears on Epson Interactive Board screen.
